To all our Filipino friends in Dubai who are wondering how to get an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) to have a tax exemption from travelling, here is your complete guide on applying and renewing.

Why do we need an OEC?

It’s a requirement under POEA’s rules and regulations to guarantee that all OFWs are documented and protected under the law of our country.
It’ll also exempt you in paying ₱1, 620.00 for travel tax and a terminal fee of P 550 in the Philippine airport.

Who are required to get an OEC?

1. To all OFWs who are returning from vacation to the same employer and/or principal and jobsite
2. To all OFWs with existing employment visa and/or work permit
3. OFWs who have an existing record in the database of POEA
4. And for those OFWs who have previously issued OEC/E-Receipt under the same employer/principal
And worry no more because you can process your OEC in four ways.
