This online mobile banking where you can pay taxes and even accepts late payment is just one of the many services offered by the government to cut off tax from your earned income or salary through easy process.

Now the benefit of using this is through using your Philippine-issued credit and ATM cards and visiting the DBP website, you may pay your taxes anytime and anywhere you want. The goal of this new payment system is to increase the tax collection revenue of BIR and have a positive outcome for their fiscal performance, thus more budget will be allotted for the projects developed and already planning to establish.

DBP is an Electronic Government (eGov) services that allows businesses and individuals to duly pay their government contributions and payments to the following:

  • PhilHealth
  • Pag-IBIG
  • SSS
  • BIR

    1. Upon visiting the website, you have to fill out vital details such as your TIN no., Form No., Tax Type, and Amount. Make sure that you have entered the right series of numbers to avoid confusion or encountering issues.
    2. Choose your mode of payment.

      • For the payment collection, you will have two options: One, would be connecting to any Bancnet Online Participating Banks via debit facility that has a fee of ₱35.00 every transaction and the other one would be through MasterCard and Visa debit and credit card that has a ₱35.00 fee and addition 2% for the total amount of taxes you’ve paid.
      • Do note that payments made through credit card will only be accepted from 12:01 AM to 10:00 PM while Debit card payments may be accepted anytime.
    3. Afterward, input your personal details and contact number.

      • A one-time password (OTP) will be sent on your mobile device that you’ll key-in as part of the security purposes of the website.
    4. Submit and Enter the OTP within 5 minutes.
    5. Choose either Visa or MasterCard and input your credit card details.
    6. Click the “Pay” Icon to finish the transaction.
    7. After confirmation of the payment, there will be a transaction summary.

This is great news for a taxpaying freelancer like me. Thanks for the screenshots and the discussion. I have one question though, how to input the Return Period? I checked the website myself and it will only show one date. How to indicate it if you’re paying for a period of one month (% tax) or one quarter (form 1701Q) or one year (form 1701)? And can we pay our annual ITR here also? Is there also a way to check with BIR regarding your payment history? Thanks a lot.
